Might be interesting to add an endless mode.

YO I FOUND THE SECRET ENDING

you all gonna be jealous now huh

i am not gonna show how to get it ;)

Cute and enjoyable little experience. The only thing I feel it is missing is different events or dialogue based on your current form.

Thank you for your comment! It definitely would have good to get more of those type of events in there, you’re right.

when will you add them?

I think it’s pretty safe to say I won’t, at this point. The game is several years old, it never developed any kind of community as far as I can tell, and I’ve moved on to different things. Apologies! Glad you liked it enough to comment.

I love this! It's a cute little game that has a lot of heart!!! <3

Would love to see more by you, be it comics or games or whatever! <3

Thank you so much!! That means a lot to hear. I’ve been tryin to start up big projects for months now, but it seems as though I have to wait until the right season of my life comes around again.

This is a really cute game and I enjoyed it a lot. I honestly love the simplicity and idea of it.

Thank you for your comment!! I’m glad you liked the game!

There are some intriguing mysteries hidden in here, but I either haven't figured out how to access them or I haven't gotten lucky enough with potion generation.

I'm pretty sure that the highest mercury level I've hit is the one after "looming," which seems to be connected to the confetti related disappearances, but I don't think I've met a wizard, and I'm not sure how the rat factors in.

Unfortunately, whenever I get to that level of mercury, the game closes on the next card. (Maybe Unity died of mercury poisoning?) see edit.

Oh! Also, adding the "transformation" tag to this will make it a lot easier for people browsing Itch to find.

Edit: OH. I see. Well, I don't think it even displays for a frame before closing, but, uh, yeah, I see what's going on now, haha. Well, that was definitely fun to find.

Same goes for the "visited every card by cheating" message, though I still haven't been able to trigger the secret ending, (it's plush + bunny + has plush + encounter girl, right?) and I have zero clue what the secret button on the main menu does beyond turn purple, haha.

I’ll go ahead and add the “transformation” tag! I don’t think I was aware of it when I published this game.

It’s a rare occurrence as a game dev that anyone likes your game enough that they’re willing to dig through the project file (I assume that’s how you found out about the easter egg with the secret button, which I left in there for my friend Goaty. It lets you start off the game as a “Goat Goddess” if you leave it active.)

I regret that that secret ending is so reliant on good potion luck. I’m very glad you got so much out of the mysteries though. Truth be told, there’s just as many half-mysteries that don’t have a resolution, as there are ones that get tied up in a bow. That’s how you generate intrigue, on a budget!

Thank you so much for playing, diving so deep, and having a good time. And moreover, thank you for leaving a comment, and letting me know!!

Yep, thanks for making this intriguing enough to inspire me into learning how to decompile Unity apps!

I was certain there were things I was missing, but I didn't want to deal with the RNG needed to find 'em all, and, as I found out, it wouldn't have done me much good in the case of the mercury ending since it doesn't actually display onscreen before Application.Quit() is called, haha.

i found the secret ending! its (plush+bunny+encounter girl) without having the plush because you are the plush.

edit 3:i think you need  the plush to reencounter the girl

edit 2:i think the encounter with the girl is completely random. its rng based ;)

edit 1:i dont know if you need the plush to encounter the girl again (get it just in case)

Nice!

Here's the other secret ending (max out mercury level):

Day: -1
Status: IN PERFECT WAYS RIPPED FROM LIFE
Encounter: UNDONE
Encounter text: The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh. The merchant demands his pound of flesh.

Then you would be presented with 4 options: HOWLING, SCREAMING, NEVER, and ENDING. Presumably, this means that your character has met the same fate as the others who used the mercury potions, and exploded into a burst of confetti. It doesn't display because application.quit() is called before the text can actually be rendered.

And hey, even though you've already seen it, here's the encounter that enables the secret good ending as well since it's pretty rare:

You pass by a young girl in a pink dress rifling through a garbage bin. She hoists herself out, apparently unsuccessful in her search. Spotting you, her eyes go wide as dinner plates. "LOUISE?!"
She vaults the fence and scoops you up in a warm hug.
"I thought I.. I'd never see you again! Mom told me you where under the bed, but I CHECKED and it... it was only socks there..." Big tears roll off her face and wet the top of your head. She kisses you there. "C'mon, lets go home. I remade my bed all nice and there's a tea party waiting for both'a us!" You make no effort to stop her as she cradles you in the crook of her arm and runs back for home. Just another twist in your great adventure... And she seems nice enough. You're looking forward to that tea.
You gently seperate yourself from her and explain that there's been a mix-up. Your name's not Louise, and you're a plush bunny by circumstance, not birth. She nods with a wounded expression, her cheeks still wet. You hate to see her like this, but it has to be done.
You promise you'll look high and low for Louise, every step of your journey, and she hugs you one last time. You feel warm. "Thank you..."

Healed for 10HP!
